Each page explains how the class works; none of them is an offer. ### Alternative Investments Private equity, venture and multi-strategy funds. Full page: https://rocklakecapital.com/strategies/alternative-investments Alternative investments sit outside the listed stock and bond markets. They include private equity and venture funds and multi-strategy vehicles that invest across a range of private opportunities. Investors typically accept lower liquidity and longer holding periods in exchange for access to opportunities and returns that differ from public markets. Valuations are usually reported less often than listed prices. ### Real Estate Income-producing property, held through co-investments and funds. Full page: https://rocklakecapital.com/strategies/real-estate Real estate investments give exposure to property that produces rental income and can grow in value: logistics and industrial, residential, offices and mixed-use. Investors typically take part through co-investments or funds rather than owning property outright. Returns come from a combination of income and capital growth, and are shaped by interest rates, occupancy, and the quality of the underlying asset and its manager. ### Infrastructure Transport, energy, utilities and digital networks. Full page: https://rocklakecapital.com/strategies/infrastructure Infrastructure covers essential, long-lived assets such as toll roads, renewable energy, utilities, ports and data networks. Many have contracted or regulated revenues, and some are linked to inflation. It is usually held through funds or co-investments over long periods. It is valued for income and relative stability, though it is not immune to regulatory change, construction risk or rising interest rates. ### Private Credit Direct lending to companies, typically senior and secured. Full page: https://rocklakecapital.com/strategies/private-credit Private credit means lending directly to companies outside the public bond market, usually through funds. Loans are often senior and secured, and many pay floating rates that reset as interest rates change. Investors are compensated for illiquidity and credit risk with higher income than comparable public bonds. Losses can still occur if borrowers default or collateral falls short. ### Bonds Government and investment-grade corporate credit. Full page: https://rocklakecapital.com/strategies/bonds A bond is a loan to a government or company that pays interest, known as a coupon, and returns the original amount at maturity. Government and investment-grade corporate bonds are generally seen as lower-risk than equities. They're often used for income and to reduce overall portfolio volatility, though their prices move when interest rates change. ### Stocks Discretionary and benchmarked equity portfolios. Full page: https://rocklakecapital.com/strategies/stocks Listed equities represent ownership in companies and have historically been the main source of long-term growth in many portfolios. They are traded daily, so they are generally liquid. Returns can be strong over long periods, but equities also experience sharp and sometimes prolonged falls. ### Commodities Precious metals, energy and agricultural exposure. Full page: https://rocklakecapital.com/strategies/commodities Commodities are raw materials such as gold, oil, industrial metals and agricultural products. They can be accessed through physical holdings, funds or futures-based products. Prices are driven by supply, demand, currencies and geopolitics, and commodities pay no income, so returns depend entirely on price moves. They are often used to diversify a portfolio and as a hedge against inflation, but can be very volatile. ### IPOs Pre-IPO and new-issue allocations. Full page: https://rocklakecapital.com/strategies/ipos New issues are shares offered to investors when a company lists on an exchange for the first time, and pre-IPO investments are stakes taken before a listing. Access is often limited and allocations may be scaled back. They can be volatile and hard to value, and shares are frequently subject to a lock-up period after listing. ## Frequently asked questions ### Eligibility and invitations **Is RockLake open to everyone?** No. RockLake and every product on it are available by invitation only, to self-certified High Net Worth, Sophisticated and Professional investors. It isn't open to the general public, and nothing on this website is a public offer. **What does self-certification involve?** During your application you choose your investor classification and confirm a declaration that you qualify. What qualifies as High Net Worth or Sophisticated varies by country and region, so you need to meet the test that applies where you are resident. We review your declaration alongside the rest of your application, but you remain responsible for its accuracy. **How do I get an invitation?** Invitations come from us, often following an introduction from an existing investor. If you believe you qualify, request one from the Contact page and tell us a little about yourself. If it's a fit, we'll send you a personal invitation code. **I have a code. Can I share it or use it more than once?** Codes are personal, so please don't share yours. Some are single-use, some are tied to one email address, and some expire. **Can US persons open an account?** No. During onboarding you confirm that you are not a US person for FATCA purposes. ### Opening your account **What do I need to apply?** Your invitation code, a photo ID (passport or driving licence), and a proof of address such as a recent bank statement or utility bill. We'll also ask about your income and net worth, source of funds, investment experience and risk tolerance. **How long does review take?** Applications, including identity document review, are typically assessed within one to two business days. Every application is reviewed by a member of our compliance team. **What if my application isn't approved?** You'll see that in the portal, with the reason where we've recorded one, and you can contact us to discuss it. ### Investments and reporting **What can I invest in?** Today: alternative investments, real estate, infrastructure, private credit, bonds, listed equities, commodities and new issues (IPOs), with more added over time as products come to the platform. Which products are made available to you is decided by us, based on your application. **Is there a minimum investment?** Each product sets its own minimum. **Can I withdraw whenever I like?** It depends on the product. Some are liquid; others, such as private and alternative investments, can be locked up for years. Each product's liquidity and terms are shown in your portal. **Are the performance figures guaranteed?** No. Every projection is a modelled illustration built from stated assumptions, not a forecast or a guarantee. The basis is shown alongside each figure, and the value of investments can fall as well as rise. **What will I see in the portal?** Your holdings across asset classes, each with its terms, risk rating and a projected value, plus your transactions and documents, all in US dollars and in one consolidated view. ### Security and regulation **How are my identity documents protected?** They're held in private storage and can be opened only by you and authorised compliance staff, through short-lived links. See our Security page for detail. **Where is RockLake regulated?** RockLake Capital is based and regulated in the Cayman Islands. The CIMA number relates to MT Capital Markets Ltd.
