1. Who we are
This policy applies to the RockLake website and client portal, operated by MT Capital Markets Ltd, trading as RockLake Capital.
2. What cookies and similar technologies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device. Similar technologies, such as your browser's local storage, do the same job. Some are essential for a site to work; others measure use or track you across sites.
3. Our approach
We keep these technologies to a minimum. We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not use third-party analytics or tracking tools on the Platform.
4. Cookies we use
When you sign in, our authentication provider sets strictly necessary cookies that keep you signed in and secure your session. Without them the client portal cannot work, so they do not require consent. They are removed when you sign out or when the session expires.
5. Your eligibility acknowledgement
When you accept the eligibility notice on entering the site, we save a small record in your browser's local storage: the date and the version of the notice. It lets us avoid asking you again straight away (currently for 30 days), and it asks you again if we change the notice in a material way. It contains no personal information, is not shared with anyone, and is removed if you clear your browser data. You can also clear it yourself, in which case you will be asked to acknowledge the notice again.
6. Third-party resources
One third-party resource is loaded directly by your browser, so the provider receives your IP address and basic technical details when it loads. Our typefaces are served from our own site, not from a font provider:
- Notice (notice.co). On the holding page of certain investments, such as IPO allocations, we show a market chart supplied by Notice. It loads in an embedded frame from Notice's own website, which also receives the address of our website but not your name, your account details or the specific page you are viewing. Notice may set its own cookies or use its own storage within that frame. We do not control or have access to them; see Notice's own privacy information. If you block third-party cookies the chart may not display.
7. Managing cookies
You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings. If you block the strictly necessary cookies you will not be able to sign in to the client portal.
8. Changes
If we add analytics or other non-essential cookies in future we will update this policy and ask for your consent first where the law requires.
